Final Deliverable : Registered Point Cloud in .RCP format

The purpose of the scan was to document the mills and the nearby areas. A clash detection exercise was to be undertaken by the client on the two mills proposed for replacement and the surrounding plant.

Scanning commenced after a comprehensive site induction. As the mine was in continual operation, 4 x verification was used to ensure a better quality of data was captured. The scan area encompassed 4 levels of industrial plant with specific attention to the mills themselves.

Apart from the obvious challenges of operating in a live mine environment, mitigating the risks associated with working in a remote area outside of the borders of SA needed to be taken into consideration.
